Welcoming our newest residents home!

It’s a nice feeling to be able to greet a neighbour by name, share the occasional chat or cup of coffee, and have someone to call on if you need a favour. That’s why, we believe creating connections with those you live closest to is important and something we foster through hosting events that bring people together.

On Saturday 11 May, Covella invited the newest members of our community to a special meet-and-greet, where they met their future neighbours, collected a settlement gift and snapped a photo next to their sold sign.

We believe that fostering connections and getting to know your neighbours, whether they live next door or a few streets over, is what makes an address like Covella home.

Community Development Officer, Sarah was in attendance on the day and welcomed the newest members of our community. Sarah’s role is all about engaging and supporting connections within Covella and was glad to see so many smiling faces and hear the stories of why our newest community members decided to call Covella, home.

What drew you to purchase land at Covella?
I was captivated by the serene beauty and the vibrant community at Covella, making it the perfect place to build our dream home.

What are you looking forward to the most about living in Covella?
I’m eagerly anticipating immersing myself in the welcoming community, enjoying the lush surroundings, and creating lasting memories.

What is your favourite thing to do as a family?
We adore spending quality time together as a family, whether it’s exploring nature trails, baking delicious treats, or simply having movie nights!

Each new community member who attended the welcome event was met with the open arms of the Covella community spirit and presented with a settlement gift of a picnic blanket and cheeseboard to bring along to their first Neighbour Day picnic.
